| Mannequins | We produce
mannequins mainly for three types of uses. The first type would be museum displays. These are the most precise and durable since they will be seen up-close and without the diffusion a camera would normally bring. They can remain on display for months or even years. |
The second types are mannequins that replace actors for special stunts that otherwise could not be safely performed by a stunt person. Detail and likeness may vary a lot. You don't need a great likeness if you're going to throw a dummy off a skyscraper. However, the fake head of a woman we produced for a commercial on road safety required the best physical likeness since | the director wanted to film from inside a car her face smashing into the windshield. The silicone head did a remarkable job for more than twenty takes. | The third type is corpses and again, these can vary with regards to the story line. For some jobs we will be required to produce a perfect likeness (for a fresh corpse). For others, it just doesn't matter (see the very crispy charred corpse). |
